meet the founder

Jonna Alberta is a certified dance and fitness instructor through AFAA/NASM and founder of MVMT Dance & Fitness. 

Growing up as a competitive dancer, Jonna Fell in love with the art form and learned the value of correlating movement to both physical and mental health. After dancing for 19 years, and teaching for 3, she developed a love for all modalities of fitness. As part of her journey, she decided to pursue a career in the wellness industry. Her mission is to reach those who are eager to embark on their fitness journeys with open minds and hearts. With MVMT, she looks to continue sharing the art of dance as well as introduce a creative fusion of cardio and movement to an audience in search of fun ways to improve their health. Everybody loves to dance, so let's do it together!

EVA

ALBERTA

Eva Alberta is a Core NYC Certified Pilates Instructor, AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, trained TRX Specialist, and Personal Trainer.  She began her fitness journey 35 years ago at Montclair State University where she was introduced to fitness, wellness and nutrition classes.  Eva began teaching and training clients at numerous gyms, corporations, universities, and community recreational programs, as well as private in-home clients.  She was the Fitness Coordinator for a few gyms in the Bergen County area before she made the leap to open her own fitness and personal training studio “Total Training” in Totowa, NJ in 1995.  

Eva was introduced to Pilates Mat and Reformer classes 10 years ago after a few cross-country moves, raising three beautiful daughters, and many injuries and work-out limitations. it instantly became a significant part of her personal life and career.  During the pandemic it was even more vital to share her love of wellness and therefore started offering virtual pilates, sculpt, and strength classes. 

5 years later, she’s grateful to offer these virtual classes as part of the growing MVMT community.
